I am doing a similar thing with my 7-hex arrays. The 80 meter
array will also be used on 160. The spacing will be 3/8 wl on
80 and 3/16 wl on 160. The verticals will be 90 ft top loaded
verticals on 160 with insulators at the 60 ft point. Relays
will short out the insulators on 160 and open up on 80. I am
in process of replacing the old 60 foot 80 meter only verticals
with the new 90 foot 2 band verticals.
However, this is not a solution where you need to use both bands
at once as the original question asked. I have separate receive
antennas, so I could run SO2R and switch the transmit array as
necessary.
