Boy, there sure is a lot of bitchy hams around these days.
Why not buy a good quality rotor in the beginning?  It will
be with you for a long time, provide trouble free service
and you can upgrade your antenna in the future.  There you
have three good reasons.

Many people are recommending the Alfa Spid, which is $1000 Canadian
or $700 US.  You will pay as much or more for a Ham IV with computer
interface.  The Alfa Spid has many advantages over the Ham IV that
have nothing to do with turning capacity.
