8.5 inches. Although, I have always had to shim it up a bit (maybe 0.25 inch) with washers at the mounting screws to keep the terminal strip off the shelf.

I'm replacing a HAM IV with a Yaesu G-800GXA and concerned about the depth
of the mast into the rotor housing.



What is the dimension on the HAM IV from the mounting plate to the point
that the bottom of the mast rests?
