I've used the small Kevlar (about an 1/8" in diameter) cord for boom and
element trusses and it works great. But maybe not so great for supporting
the ends of inverted vees. The last 80-m inverted vee installation here
lasted only about 6 months, while previous installations with flexible
nylon parachute cord lasted decades. Maybe some flexibility is good for
that application.

YMMV.

What about Kevlar rope like one used in spiderbeams?
They also claim it is UV resistant and does not stretch.
