John and Larry - I originally put out a post on the Extigy back on Feb. 17,
2002, I thought it looked like a possible solution to a second sound card on
the USB.
Jon Harder actually got one and tried it, but didn't have good luck with it.
He posted on April 11, 2002 and if you can find that post in the archives,
it would be worth reading before you go down that path. I beleive he ended
up returning it.
I just re-read his post and briefly, he said it got a 7b on the SBCheck and
it worked ok with the WL/MMTTY Plug-in combo, but not with "plain vanilla"
RttyRite decoder. Seems " the line-in recording control mutes input any time
the focus shifts, such as clicking on a callsign for auto-entry or other
essential WL functions" (his words). He thought it would also be unuseable
for CW mode on "Sterio Soundboard AFSK, but he didn't try that.
Too bad, it looked promising.
