This was explained by Wayne in the e-mail below. ARRL DX was corrected in a
patch released in February.
I ran M2 in 3 contests this year and MS in 1 and Writelog worked as
specified all four times. Any problems we had were user error, specifically
we had not selected Run/Mult properly in the beginning of the contest and
once this was corrected everything worked fine.
It is very important to follow K9JY's recommendations on setting up the
networked files and to create an empty log on one computer and copy that
over to all the other computers that will be networking so that all
computers are starting with the same format. I would also recommend keeping
an empty copy on each computer with the windows arranged for that computer
in case there is any issue with the log in the middle of the contest you can
open up the empty log, do a save as, connect to the network, and be back up
to full speed.
Bottom line: Band Change tracking in Writelog works. Read the help files,
and make sure you have the right mode selected for your contest. In version
10.35 a right click option was added to the window to allow you select
between 10 minute rule and 6 bandchange per hour rule.
FYI we used the following versions:
CQWW SSB 10.36 3 stations, 3 computers
CQWW CW 10.37 2 stations, 3 computers
ARRLDX CW 10.39 with 10.40 update 1 station 1 computer
ARRLDX SSB 10.39 with 10.40 update 2 stations, 2 computers

Please! I am a "soul" not a "sole" (:-)
The calculation for the band change window in WriteLog is loaded by the
contest module, but the "main" program has a pair of default behaviors that
you can use the right mouse button to switch between. The defaults are 6
band changers per 60 min sliding window or 10 minutes on a band. The contest
module can modify WL's behavior to allow only one of the behaviors, count
per GMT hour instead of per 60 minute sliding window, and it can say whether
mults are allowed on the 2nd station, etc. etc. etc.
But the bad news is that I am pretty sure the ARRL DX module does NOT modify
WL's default behavior. Its a pretty simple update to the module code to tell
WL what the "right" answer is for a given contest, but I don't know if I can
get it done in the time you request. I'll have to get back with you on this.
Please don't lose track of the fact that this issue affects
Multi-Two/Multi-Single operation ONLY--single ops and multi/multi are not
affected.
