No, pressing the * does not reset the RIT. I went through the manual
for the CI-V commands and there doesn't seem to be one for clearing RIT.
There must be a hundred commands for everything else imaginable, but no
clear RIT command. There are commands for things as esoteric as setting
the backlight level and volume of the beep, but no clear RIT. Amazing.
I'm going to write ICOM and see what they have to say.
