I just finished setting up WL for the BARTG Sprint 75 contest next Sunday.
Before starting the setup I check the rttycontesting.com web site and found
that there was a new version of 2Tone, 13.09b, available for download. My
version was 13.04a so I downloaded it, unzipped it and think I have it
correctly located. When setting up WL my clone window for 2Tone works ok and
the Help button shows the version as 13.09b as I expected.
However, I notice when sending test messages to my dummy load the text printing
to the 2Tone clone screen is sometimes correct, sometimes partially garbled.
Is this normal with version 13.09b or is it the 75 baud speed? Anybody tried
receiving off the air at 75 baud with this version of 2Tone yet? Will there be
a pre-contest warm up period to check macros, settings, reception, etc. before
next Sunday? Would like to make sure this latest version is working correctly
before then.

If necessary, you could probably use whatever works as the prime
decoder (and tx from that one), then ser up 2tone in a clone window
and use it in rx mode only.

Hi Gary, have you read G3yyd's 2Tone operational Inormation? There is a note in
the FFT Display Section about adjusting the bandwidth for 75 Baud.

That's exactly what I do Jerry. However, my memory banks seem to say that
the previous version of 2Tone I was running as a receive only clone decoded
my transmissions pretty well. So now I'm trying to narrow down if it is the
new 2Tone version or the 75 baud speed that is making a difference. Guess
I'll try switching the setup back to 45 baud and see what happens. If the
decode in the 2Tone window is good then the culprit is probably the 75 baud
rate. If it's still garbled at 45 baud then I am going to suspect the new
version. In any event, the important thing is how well it copy signals off
the air!

Apparently it's the 75 baud rate that 2Tone has a bit of difficulty decoding
cleanly. My MMTTY transmit window and a clone MMTTY receive only window
decode my 75 baud transmissions cleanly. When I switch all the TU terminals
back to 45 baud 2Tone also decodes it just as clean as the MMTTY windows.
Both MMTTY windows and 2Tone are running XMMT.ocx. Looks like the new 2Tone
version is ok except for the 75 baud transmissions. Now the see how it
works "live".
