Comments:

I'm really pleased with making 700 QSOs while QRP!
This would be 4th place based on last year's QRP scores.

I came within 6 QSOs (or one last mult) of reaching
the stellar WWA QRP Record of K7RI(NÃ?AX op). Maybe next
time if 10 meters will be fully open. In fact, I spent
way too much time in "10 Meter Optimist Mode" tuning
the band and listening to weak, weak signals that I'd
never be able to work while QRP. Finally, only 2 worked.

I started on 15m and had two good hours. Sunday had 15m
as quirky as ever, going strong to weak and back again
in the same hour. Less crowded than 15m, so a QRP'er
could call CQ and stay awhile.

20m was packed with stations up to at least 14.090 KHz!
I could tune for hours until finding a hole, and then
this QRP'er could CQ for about 2 minutes before getting
stomped... so back to search and pounce.

40m was surprisingly good, helped by my 2 element yagi
at 78 ft on top of a hill looking down to salt water
to the East. Stations would double check my "Q" prec
and say "FB". I'm glad the hundreds of hours of work
and thousands of dollars of tower and antenna pay off.
Before the contest I checked both rig's power outputs
with a digital power meter and had 3.5 to 4.9 watts
depending on the band/antenna combo.

The less said about 80m while QRP, the better. I wish
I could spend less time there too, but "the crowd"
moves there pretty early in the evening. I actually
did better on 80m before sunrise on Sunday morning.

I don't worry about Mults, most show up eventually.
I only missed NL (VO1) and never heard any during my
extensive tuning. I spent brief times in the pileups
to get KE0Z/VE4 and VY1EI, but they are fairly close
and had good loud signals, so a little RIT/XIT magic
and some bold calling got me through.

A big THANK YOU to the stations who listen carefully
and spend a couple of rounds pulling the exchange out
of a weak signal! I really appreciate it!
