That was hard! Lots of QRN on 40. 0315Z - 37, so a good start. Signals were
good, but after working them only the weak, weak remained. Whew! Started to
slow down at 0329Z. Skip was long, very few W1 and W4 were coming through. Went
to 80 at 0343Z and did a lot of S&P. Pretty hard since the Flex Maestro is
in for repairs again and I had no VFO knob. Lots of missed QSOs and unanswered
CQs and guys who I could not hear. I'll have to trouble shoot the 80 vertical.
Mechanically it looks OK, but signals are weak and the SWR is high. Of course,
I enjoyed the fast QSOs, but it was a struggle this time which makes me
appreciate when things click right along. (This morning 175 QSOs! on 40)
