If the 3-600Z is fully compatible, it must have the same 5V, 14.5A
filament/cathode. The emissive limit of such a cathode is c.400mA of
anode current. It seems to me that it would make no difference in PEP
output whether the anode dissipation capability is 500w, 600w, or even
1000w. Beyond a certain point, the bottleneck is the emissive limit of
the cathode. The idea that a tube with a fixed emissive limit can be
"upgraded" to provide an "advantage" by upping the anode dissipation
rating is hipe.
