Not bad for a circa 1965 amp that could be viewed as the "prototype" to
the SB-220.
Since the Bandit was available as a kit it would be prudent to examine
closely ALL connections.

Modern caps of the Computer Grade variety are rated at least 475V Surge,
some a bit higher.

Altho the schematic says 2700V, the manual states 2200V which I would
assume is under load. I havent had one here for about a year and my
manual has no real world PS notes. The first thing to do is bring the amp
up with a variac and measure the voltage across each cap as you increase
the primary. That will tell you what will need to be done.
Since the amp uses a doubler supply additional caps would have to be
added in pairs. There is no room above but a pair of axial lead Mallory
TC-807 series might just fit below.

With no input network and a plate choke that is marginal on WARC the
2000C has been showing up at decent prices. It also makes a great
platform to convert to 6M!

It will run up to 1300W out with 100W of drive....my notes actually say a
high of 1350W on 40M and a low of 1150 on 10M with like new Amperex
8163/3-400Z's.
