in mind that Dahl Hipersil® transformers are quite conservatively rated.
For instance, the Dahl 4.5kVA-rated, 3000Vrms@1.5a / c. 68 pound
transformer will deliver c. 7800vdc at c. 3a-pk (using a FWD) to an 8171
tetrode on SSB. The reason why is low winding resistance. For instance,
the aforementioned transformer has a measured pri. resistance of
0.078-Ohms.
