Hi All,
There have been lots of responses to this, and I was always impressed
by the BC610's 250th.
The nostalgia wave really washes over me when I remember several HB
amps I have known with the mercury-vapor rectifiers glowing
brighter/dimmer and the power transformer groaning/humming with CW
keying.
Silicon diodes, metal/ceramic tetrodes, and tape-wound silicon steel
transformers are better, no doubt, but less romantic!
