SHV are the best if you can find them - only a bit more expensive. With MHV
I think you can mate the centre with standard BNC, and also I think it's
possible to make the centres contact before the shields. Neither issue
should be a problem in a ham shack, but SHV prevents either.

Given the price compared with the tubes and transformers, anything less
looks like a false economy.
