Just like a lot of admirable 'wild' animals- when he bites back he is
considered 'bad'. I have seen him bite, and , in each case I can remember,
it was in reply to some real, honest, 'holier-than-thou' S**t from some old
F**t who should stick to the noisier parts of 75. These guys polute the
internet the way they accuse the CBer of doing to 11 meters.
He once replied to me, very nicely, off-list, and gave his name and CALL
(yes, he has one). He may, once in a while (HI) use more than 5 watts, but,
in large part, that is the fault of the pre-Riley FCC. If they get serious,
the woods will be full of dumped junk, but 'till then I think these guys
have some interesting, if dangerous, toys.
I am afraid I don't rely on much in the way of technical input from him, or
other CB overpowerers, but thats partly a language problem. They use
definitions that you wont find in any standard radio text, and have
standards for acceptable signal quality that are 'different'.
He has some interesting stuff on his web site, though.
