Surely it's the square root of the sum of the squares of the two
currents? i.e sq. rt [(Iload) squared + (Icap) squared]
(Surprise - that gives the same answer as Tom quotes)
Kirchoff suggests that it's also (Vc1 - Vload)/ XL
