I saw the ad for the limited edition (only 20 will be made) 87A in QST.
Curious, I went to the alpha website (http://www.alpharadioproducts.com) to
find out what made these 20 so special.
I couldn't imagine what the performance improvement would be but figured
they had to do something to soup it up and go out with a bang. I clicked on
the 87A link and laughed out loud--the special feature is that the rf deck,
coils etc. are GOLD PLATED.
