i was wondering if anyone knows of anyoen using a gu-84b in a cathode driven "grounded grid" configuration. i have heard that these tubes would not stand up to this like the tougher 4-400 and 4-1000 tubes. if it is the high current in the control grid that is the biggest problem. would "floating" above ground with 10 ohm resistors or multiples of resistors to get to around 10 ohms help? just wondering. _______________________________________________ Amps mailing list Amps@contesting.com http://lists.contesting.com/mailman/listinfo/amps |
