Hal's question: "Why in the Hell was 11 meters ever taken?" One reason was a lack of use. Many amateurs used crystals and the old transmitters were built with multipliers, not mixers, thus a 3.5 mHz or 7 mHz crystal would allow use on 7, 14, 21 and 28 mHz. The 27 mHz band required unique crystals for just one band. 73, Ken W2DTC _______________________________________________ Amps mailing list Amps@contesting.com http://lists.contesting.com/mailman/listinfo/amps |
