Hi Marv,

Thanks for the info. I don't have any amps with a biasing need of over 40
volts. I'm really not sure of the IMDs and I don't have a spectrum analyzer
to gather accurate info. The modules I use are rated at 12000 VDC and 1.2
amps. They are modules I've pulled from surplused Henry plasma units. It
would really be nice to see some good data regarding these modules used as
bias voltage regulators. Maybe someone out there has done the math on this.

Regards,

Larry N5BIP

No problem at all. When I need a higher bias voltage I use HV diode modules.

Larry,

Have you measured the dynamic regulation of the modules? Measurements here
and by W6GNX found it to be relatively poor compared to a zener.........read
that IMD generation as the voltage rises, causing current/power limiting.
Since you might have an amp using your system, would you take a look at the
regulation under conditions of minimum to full power? If you do, would you
please let me know the results? You could possibly be doing yourself and
your neighbors a favor, hi! Thanks.

Marv, W6FR
