Just curious as to why you did not choose to use an Ameritron plate
choke? I would think that the Ameritron choke would be safe on the ham
bands, and they weren't that expensive at Dayton 2008.

Just replaced the plate choke in my ameritron amplifier.
I checked the choke resonance, with a dip meter, and found resonant at:
fo = 27.711 MHz
fo = 15.265 MHz
fo = 10.839 MHz
Qustion is: how close is it safe to operate the ampfiler to the above
frequences ?
