Thanks Roger. I have a 1500 watt amp with a ten meter tank coil wound
with #6 solid copper wire. After about 30 seconds key down CW the coil
is uncomfortably hot to the touch. I would estimate loss of around 50
watts or so. I was thinking of having it silver plated and seeing what
the difference would be. I realize at the 1500 watt level, 50 watts is
almost nothing at the RX end. I'm just curious.
