Bill,
I would not waste silver on such an undersized coil. Wind a coil out of 1/4
inch or 3/8 inch copper tubing. This should run cool @ 1500 watts. Then, if
you want it to look pretty, go ahead and put the silver on it. That #6 wire
is going to run hot at 1500 watts whether it is plated or not.
