I dont know of any commercial SSB application; that doesnt mean there wasnt
any. They were popular in FM mobile service until the 5894 came out.The CAA
used them on AM around 140mc in the late 40's. Never cared for them, need
too much voltage for too little power.
Eimac keeps insisting that Class B can run idle current which technically is
correct.....just barely
