I am going down to Monterey to inspect an old amp, possibly purchase. I saw
it in operation about 15 years ago, and remember it as being a golden color
anodized front panel, wide, and not tall, [Not that huge Alpha in the roughly
square box] push buttons, lower right, dual illuminated meters, upper right,
large round tune/load caps on the Left. (All from memory, 15 years ago) looks
to be an Alpha 76 or 76A series from what I see on the web. Probably not
turned on in 15, or 20 years. If the 76 or 76A series, any advice on first
turn on, perhaps a gradual Variac Burn in for the P/S caps, or tube, Tube
heating with out B+ , etc? How long to "cook" at reduced voltages, etc? Any
design upgrades for that amp?

Best Regards,
