Id be temped to use a BIG  powdered iron T-400A-2 and wrapped with #12 
Teflon wire over the Scotch 27 wrapping. Follow the various on line formulas 
for winding info.

I simply do not like ferrites at that power level and others with ACTUAL 
experience are invited to jump in.
