Quite why they don't have a means of checking or re-evacuating these
things I don't know. Some sort of port would be nice, given the price,
even if you needed fairly specialised gear. One can look at new old
stock and not have a clue if it is evacuated to OE spec, or near
atmospheric in there. I have some Edwards high vac pumps and want at
my Jennings :)
