Expert 2k-fa is showing the status of amps for HF. The lightest and the cheapest legal limit automatic amp although not 100% duty. Needs a few refinements, but 9500 needed refinements too. The next one, if it comes, 1.3k-fa., is revolution. KW in 18 lb. Seems to me that the tube amplifier linger only due to past experience. Once new SS designs mature, the tube amp will be vintage.
