No, I'm not missing the point at all -- I'm quite aware of the 
differences  between EU and NA in this regard. Which is why I offered 
the specific advice I did -- to determine for sure which side of the 
line was the neutral, and to make sure nothing on the primary side of 
the power transformer went to the chassis. :)
