"Other issues to keep in mind are how you want to implement a safety plate
current trip and reset circuit, whether you want to sample the HV for
metering purposes in the RF deck or in the power supply, whether you want
the blower to run for a minute or two after the amp power is switched off,
and how you want to fuse the HV. "

Also worthy of consideration is whether to add an interlocking safety switch inside the PS cabinet as well as HV crowbar protection. Trouble is, if it's possible to open the cabinet top and side panels with screws, there may be more than one easy entry path into the supply. Perhaps if the panels used quick-release DZUS fasteners, then these extra precautions would be warranted. But if it takes several minutes to open a cover, hopefully by then one has common sense in that time to unplug everything. With enough PS cabinet room, an insulated "shorting-stick" could be mounted inside and used to manually short B+ before work begins -- just like all broadcast transmitters that use HV.
