I remember the old dedicated station monitors of the past. Just remember that the old monitors are only as good as their last calibration. And dried out capacitors will make the monitor inaccurate.A cheap O-scope with a short lead wrapped around the coax will give you a good look at your signal. Play with the audio levels until you *just* see the center of the audio "kissing" on the zero line. then back off a touch.
