Well... on the parts search once again... And thanks for the tips on where to
find stuff...
Got the 1/4? panel bushings from Leeds...
Now looking for some 240 volt blowers suitable for 8877 (need 4 blowers) and
also something suitable for a pair of 3-500 tubes (need two blowers for them.
And they can be 120 vac).

Jim,
A few months ago when I needed a blower for my Henry 3K-A (pair at 3-500z ran
very hard at 4000 volts) I emailed Ted Henry at Henry Radio and he recommended
the Dayton 1TDP6 and yes, it is a 240 volt blower. I found it for sale at many
on-line venders and all Grainger Industrial Supply stores carry or can order
it. Grainger actually owns Dayton nowadays.

Yes, remember that it's perfectly OK to run a 120V load between one side
of the TX primary and its center tap. This is often done by the first
rate amp mfrs. And remember that it is NOT OK (and is illegal) to run a
120V load between one side of the line and ground. Indeed, putting load
current on ground is a recipe for hum pickup. And bonding neutral to
ground is even worse.

IMO, EBM-Papst makes an excellent blower, although expensive. They are
superbly balanced. You can hold it in your hand while running and
barely feel any vibration. Digi-Key and Newark are suppliers. In my
homebrew 8877 I used the 91 CFM model, which is probably overkill, but
the exhaust air is barely warm, even running legal limit RTTY.

It seems that you now have all the blowers you need. However, FWIW I have two EBM-Papst
G3G120-BB13-02 blowers which I got for a project which will not now happen :-) They are
120V which is one strike against them, but they are beautifully made. 142 cuft/min @
0", 70 cuft/min @ 1.2". They are also quiet.
