Check out the M/M and M/2 ARRL DX CW contest scores reported on 3830. ALL OF
THE STATIONS REPORTING SCORES (execpt for W0AIH) ARE IN W1, W2, or W3. Does
anyone still doubt that the way DX contest scores are tabulated and reported
retards multi-op contest participation?

I probably won't organize a big M/M effort again until this year's CQ WW CW.
It's just too difficult to get motivated for ARRL DX, WPX, and all the other
contests. And, provided I wanted to enter one of these contests, it's tough
to recruit enough operators to fill out a team. A significant percentage of
the top western USA contest operators prefer to go to DX locales for DX
contests, or, if stateside, they'd rather single band it. Or they just don't
bother operating the contest at all.

If DX contest reporting doesn't change, don't expect to see much multi-op
contest activity outside the north east.

I like to see all the email on these services. However, I would like to ask
follow up queries to the orignial sender, about equipment, radio, other
items. Is there a way to reply directly to the sender with doing a reply
to the reflector address, if the sender does not included their internet
address?

thanks,

Subject: CTY files - how do you want to receive them?
Message-ID: <9402241727.AA18867@us1rmc.bb.dec.com>

Now that I have set up a file server, is there still a need to post the CTY
files directly to the reflectors? Here are some options:

1. Post the list of changes only, instruct how to obtain files by mail.

2. Post the file and revision information directly to reflector.

        a. Post them to CQ-CONTEST only
        b. Post them to CT-USER only
        c. Post them to both CT-USER and CQ-CONTEST

3. Is there a need to make the files available for anonymous FTP in some
sort of archive, so you can get all the latest files at once?

Please send your responses to me ONLY (and not the reflector) and I will
post a summary of the results.

Thanks - Jim AD1C
