Great comments Trey! From my watching contesters, I think the biggest skill builder is operating a sub-standard station/antennas. I have seen and heard several spoiled big-station operators not hear really good mults. call them during a run, but they don't stop to LISTEN. Didn't somebody say, you can't work 'em if you can't hear them. Lesser pistol stations force the operator to listen better and to practice finesse over brute power. 73, K4VUD |
