Jeff,
Try a trapped vertical (actually half of an Cushcraft A3 driven element)
shooting into the side of a 4000' mountain (in the direction of all the
SS QSOs). I think we need a new precedence for situations like this
- it will be class "D" for dummy load or perhaps "P" short for "PW".
RF output power will be unlimited in this class as long as you can prove
that 90% of it is turned into heat in the antenna, feedline, or nearby
terrain (e.g. high EURP - effective unradiated power).
This will give all us lids who are loading up various forms of
moistened pasta, window frames, and home wiring a class to
compete in.
