On the other hand, somebody could do the fairly simple file manipulation 
required to compare the entire list of calls and sections against his log, 
and pick up 4-5 QSOs that *could* make a difference.

I don't understand what purpose it serves to show the sections anyway.  If 
you want to know about your section-level competition, chances are you 
don't need ARRL to tell you who they are.
