That's unfortunate.  I liked the OMNI-VI's divided-down-from-VHF
VFO, crystal LOs & approach to SWR protection (limit current).
How mine was bought back & no interest in fixing it (to extent
of claiming inability to reproduce DSP problem) - makes me
wonder now that I have seen this.

Otherwise, did one board swap before that I think & found
support to be good (especially important from DX side).

But EMC reminded me of fixing some cost-down nightmare
from previous life doing consumer electronics up in BY-land.
Guess must save money somewhere to be able to not have
to make entire cabinet of less expensive steel.  Something
not right if one has to add shunt cap & series inductance
to rear panel spiquets & isolation transformer on mic in
order to use radio in same environment where Yaecomwoods
don't even blink.

Oh well - again, very interesting to see variation in experience
from comments posted here... such as 850-vs-870 as noted
by W6WRT.
