But we don't work DX... I get operators here for 48 hours to work a CONTEST
and that's what we do... When we set up for the 160m contest the 15m
station is converted to the 2nd op listening position.... And NONE of the
other radios is usually turned on unless maybe to try to listen on another
antenna on 160m! Putting restrictions on what has historically been an
unrestricted class is just going to put real contesters out of work. Just
think of the poor guys at w2gd sitting around with nothing to do for 8 hours
a weekend, put them out on the street and what are they going to do? Start
mugging hermit crabs for their shells? Hold up the sea gull on the corner?
It could destroy 160m at noon as we know it and love it!
