But I am encouraging my 2nd harmonic to get into ham radio, and become a
contester too...
I thought we wanted new young blood in the hobby...*G*
I know.. outta context, and all that... but I couldn't pass it up.. just too
fun...
Shoot, I already have him looking at the Fox hunts, and contest results...and
he spelled
his name the other day in cw... not bad for 7.
Now on the technical side of things... and the barn door is wide open from
the information that we have to work with here... but the actual situation may
very well be a poor rx... it isn't likely that there are that many poor tx that
this one fellow can hear the 2nd harmonics of 160 on his 75 mtr rx. Unless he
is very close to a high powered 160 contester, in which case.... one would have
to put tongue firmly in cheek.... and say something like-
Gee... that's why we have 10 meters.....
leave it there....
just leave it there....
don't go there....

how all of the contesters were > QRMing 75 SSB with their 2nd harmonics..So, my
pops proceeded to tell him > needs to invest in a new radio,
