*We expect contesters announcing somewhere their Contest plans in advance,
especially those intending to operate Low Power, QRPp, claiming unassisted.*
I announced this to my wife. Is that good enough?????
That said, I did NOT see this statement in the CQ WW DX Rules posted on the
internet. Where did this specific language originate? Is it an official
declaration by the contest sponsor???
If that language really is *official* from the CQ WW DX Committee, then they
need to define a place to proclaim the category intentions by contesters.
Until then, this language does not have any "teeth". I wouldn't rely on any
third party location to make these proclamations.
In the interim if you believe this is a valid "new rule", I would send my
"intention of submitting a Top Ten challenge" to the same email address that
receives the logs for the particular contest. If the CQ WW DX Committee
wants it different, they need to publish the exact process they expect the
competitors to follow. Hopefully this would be added to the rules.
