I'd have to look at a grid square map, but wouldn't that make EU QSOs to W1
and W6 worth the same?  That's not what they seem to be looking for here.
 Now if you changed it so that each level of grid out increased the QSO
value, maybe that's more of what the distance scorers have in mind.  It
still wouldn't be equitable without figuring out some sort of weighting
scheme due to the distances to population centers, but it would likely be a
fun contest - especially with the grid square mults.

But it wouldn't be the ARRL DX contest!
