These are some of the profound questions, below the obvious ones.
This discussion adds a good value to interpreting the rules.

>From CQ WW perspective the answer is the receiver would certainly be
outside the 500m circle. Thus not allowed in CQ WW.

If you want to follow your signal, as a M/M or any multiop or as an
assisted singleop, you can follow the spotting networks or on CW even
the RBN, which is a spotting network with capability of telling you
your S/N at the other end.


In case anyone wants to have more information, questions@cqww.com can
be used, too.

For other contests than CQ WW, I do not really know how they would answer.
..especially regarding the RBN.
