If I feel like getting on the air for a few hours of contesting
(unlikely to happen these days) I usually play Unassisted but I stay
connected to the local cluster although I keep the spotting window
closed.

The reason is my logging program alerts me when someone spots me while
I am CQing and that keeps me awake during the lower rate hours.

Is that considered "Assistance"? :)
