I'd admit it. I am not the rag chewer I used to be. But I do have on the
wall a Rag Chewers Certificate hanging on the wall. I don't think you
can even get them anymore at all do you?
They were a cool program where the recipient can not ask for it. But a person that had a nice 30 minute or longer contact with the person would "Nominate" them for the award. It would arrive totally un expected. Fun Stuff. And Free. Now days it would probably cost ya 10 bucks. Just ask anyone who routinely CQs on 80 or 40M SSB. There is also some very consistent net activity that doesn't full crowd up the bands but is there - religiously....If you think the bands are too quite - try CQing. Its rare to not get a call - and usually a string of them - for an "average" contester set up. Ed N1URAs I see this, the people wanting to discuss shortwave radio matters, contesting in particular, those rag chewers have QSYed to internet email lists. Here we are. One big group of contesters rag-chewing about contests until our own favorite contest is on. Then we return to the net. 73, Jukka OH6LI _______________________________________________ CQ-Contest mailing list CQ-Contest@contesting.com http://lists.contesting.com/mailman/listinfo/cq-contest _______________________________________________ CQ-Contest mailing list CQ-Contest@contesting.com http://lists.contesting.com/mailman/listinfo/cq-contest |
