Verizon Wireless was five bars everywhere in the facility except
deep inside the metal buildings. Thankfully I didn't drop my
iPhone in the mud...

Subject: [CQ-Contest] Hamvention - New Venue, etc.
I, too, had a T-Mobile iPhone with me and was frustrated because of the
poor coverage. I wanted to get in touch with some friends visiting the
Hamvention so that we could meet. I should have had an 2m/440 HT instead of
the iPhone. We are ham radio operators, not iPhone operators.
I had a very good time at the Hamvention.

100% agree with Bill's marks.
One more F to add - T-Mobile coverage was almost nonexistent. There are
only 2 spots here and there where I got 1 bar of signal and was able to
send an SMS or had basic EDGE internet. ATT and Verizon worked fine.
