Yes, I was aiming my comments at contest novices, who would probably like
to see their call in the results, but also might not be up to speed on log
submissions and such.

I ended up submitting my log for the 10 meter contest a couple of hours
after the deadline, but an email to the contest branch at the ARRL took
care of it.  I was unaware that they had switched to a web-based
submission, so I emailed it to the previously used 10 meter log email
address.  I realized after a couple of days that I had never received a
reply from the contest robot and that is when I did some checking and
learned about having to upload your log.  I had to leave the house right
after that but figured I would take care of it when I got home.  My memory
isn't so great for things anymore so I forgot.

Does anyone know the reason why the ARRL switched to a 5 day deadline for
submission?
