I think what you are missing, which I initially missed, is that a category is 
Single Operator, High Power, unassisted. Another Category is Single Operator, 
High Power Assisted.  Within each category it doesn't matter whether you enter 
single band, all band, single mode or two modes (if applicable).  

Your score, regardless of which bands or modes you choose to operate, will be 
compared to the highest Single Operator, High Power unassisted or Single 
Operator, High Power, assisted regardless of which bands or modes were 
operated. 

So, in case anyone wonders, if you operate single band in CQ WW you can forget 
about getting many points.
