I  had a similar problem show up the 2nd night of CQ 160 SSB last February.
After the contest I shut the PC off, opened it up, removed the DVP card, cleaned
both the card edge connector and the socket with cleaner, reinstalled the card,
booted up, and all the problems went away.  Try it!  de Milt, N5IA     2 weeks
and counting to XZ1N.
