I think the replies to this missed the issue.
On my Thinkpad with WIN98 when one boots to DOS, the entire DOS screen
occupies a block in the center of the screen. I want DOS to occupy
the entire screen just like it does on a normal monitor. It
apparently is putting the 640x200 DOS screen in the center of the
1024x768 SVGA display.
